Run Daddy Run!

Firstly, we would like to say a massive Thank you to Mark Radon for showing the branch a tremendous amount of gratitude towards the Branch and the volunteers that help run it

IF we didn’t have Parents/Supporters like yourself who actively fundraise for the branch I don`t think we would be able to do half, as much of the activities that we provide for the children and Young People.

Please have a read of Mark`s story and if anyone would still like to donate the link is below also please follow Mark on his Facebook page RUN Daddy RUN

On 29th June 2019, I am attempting to complete my very first marathon.  And through nothing but my love for the mountains and the slightest amount of peer pressure from a running friend of mine, I thought running a marathon over the Brecon Beacons would be a perfect place to pop my “marathon cherry”!

My son is called Jack and he is autistic.  Until Jacko, I never understood what autism was and it was only through Jacko did I really learn the true meaning of life; here is a boy who is as pure as humanity can be.  He laughs at what he loves, he cries at what he doesn’t like.  Through Jacko, I’ve learned that you can achieve anything in life if you apply yourself to it!

I’ve chosen to raise money for the Hereford branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS).  NAS are the UK’s largest provider of specialist autism services. Their trained staff and volunteers bring passion and expertise to the lives of 100,000 autistic people every year.  They help people like Jacko move through their lives, offering the kind of emotional and practical support required to do things you and I take for granted.

Please help me raise some money to help these wonderful volunteers who support kids like my Jacko and their parents & family, so that they have a better life at work, at school and at home.

Thank you 🙂 x
